WORKS DEDICATED TO ELENA PAPANDREOU / PREMIERES


PREMIERES
1. Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra by Nikos Mamangakis, with the Orchestra of Colours and conductor Miltos Logiadis, dedicated to Elena Papandreou, premiered in Athens in May 1998.

2. Sonata for Guitar by Nikita Koshkin, dedicated to Elena Papandreou, premiered in Norway in 1998 (BIS-CD-1236).

3. Kyparissos by Nikita Koshkin, dedicated to Elena Papandreou, premiered in Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall in 1998 (BIS-CD-1236).

4. Concerto Metis for Guitar and String Orchestra by Roland Dyens, with the Athens Camerata Orchestra and conductor Miltos Logiadis, Greek premiere in the Athens Concert Hall in 2000.

5. Concertomaggio for Two Guitars and String Orchestra by Roland Dyens, with Roland Dyens, the Orchestra of Colours and conductor Miltos Logiadis, Greek premiere in the Athens Concert Hall in 2001.

6. Melody for Guitar by Giorgos Koumendakis, dedicated to Elena Papandreou, premiered in Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall in 2002.

7. Megaron Concerto for Guitar and String Orchestra by Nikita Koshkin, with the Athens Camerata Orchestra and conductor Alexandros Myrat, dedicated to Elena Papandreou, premiered in the Athens Concert Hall in 2006 (BIS-CD-1846 with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and conductor Lan Shui).

8. The Pedal Tone of a Crazy Old Man for guitar and bayan by Giorgos Koumendakis, with Konstantinos Raptis, premiered in the Athens Concert Hall in 2011.

9. L’ Istesso Tempo by Nikita Koshkin for cello and guitar, dedicated to Elena Papandreou, premiered with Leonid Gorokhov in the Thessaloniki Concert Hall in 2016 (BIS-CD-1846 with cellist Angelos Liakakis).

10. Preludio de la Nostalgia by Leo Brouwer, dedicated to Elena Papandreou, premiered in Sala Vanni in Florence Italy on 26th September 2021.
